This week, in honor of her trunk show on Saturday in Larchmont, we sat down with the wonderfully talented Brooklyn-based Rosanne Pugliese. We are obsessed with her subtle, light-as-a-feather jewelry, hand-made with the richest hammered gold and saturated and unique stones, which is all at once classic, modern, and luxurious. The majority of Rosanne's collection is handmade in 22k gold, in a small artisan workshop in NYC -- even the simple hoops are worked one piece at a time by hand. Rosanne uses classic, elegant proportions. But she keeps a certain earthy rawness by using gentle finishing techniques and unusual gemstones, like aquamarines that look like little chunks of the sky... or nuggets of color that are rough, assymetrical, and utterly sophisticated. -What is your favorite piece of jewelry? I am fortunate to be able to switch what is the favorite very often!  Have some amazing green tourmaline rectangular "bars" that I am working on, and a bezel set "east/west" ring is my best piece right now.
