March Staff Selections Are Here!
FACT: You will never hear a Peridot Girl complain about working day in and day out with cases full of designer jewelry.
Thanks to our familiarity with the curated collection at Peridot, we've all taken a turn helping that father shop for his daughter's sweet sixteen or husband hunt for that one of a kind, memorable 10th anniversary present. There's the ladies who need a pick me up or to commemorate a best friend's birthday, and we've sorted out them all in selecting that special gift. But wouldn't you like to know what we're snapping up for ourselves?!
Below is our jewelry tell all for the month of March, because hey... we're receiving new pieces each week and that shopping list just keeps on growing... Take a look at what we wear and what we wear it with! #PeridotStyle

Peridot Style: Putting It All Together for Fall
If your BFF isn't the jewelry editor for your favorite fashion 'zine, giving you the heads up on new designers and seasonal product as it rolls through the halls of Hearst on the daily, then Team Peridot is here to "daylight" as your most fashionable friend. And every girl needs a gal pal like that.

We have done the diligence to read every editorial, every blog post, and every market forecast, in order to curate an uncommon collection of jewelry that's on trend for Fall. This is the antithesis of the editorial "magazine" approach to "trend" jewelry. We are on the hunt for pieces that are fashionably relevant now and forever.
Sometimes translating current trends means layering in a new piece to the necklaces you already wear everyday, and sometimes it's about adding natural diamonds to stack in with your traditional bridal set. And yes, sometimes it's even a whole new statement earring or long, faceted strand of fine stone.

Keeping up with ever changing trends should never eclipse the importance of incorporating timeless fine jewelry into your very own, signature look. For our client's, that can mean distinctive items that present just as beautifully over your white t-shirt and Lululemon's when you're picking up kid #three at school, as they do paired with feminine prints and exaggerated accessories for a lunch about town.
The right shade of nail lacquer (pictured earlier: Essie's "Picked Perfect") is as much a staple this September as leather fringe, cozy wrap sweaters, and vintage designer chain link purses. We're also seeing a huge pick up in pearls, whether on handmade gold ear wires or more casual cord necks.

At Peridot, the handcrafted jewelry we select for our clients never goes out of style. After all, capes come and go, but a [natural] diamond is forever. #PeridotStyle

Fall Trend Report
Although faint, that familiar crisp has returned to the late summer air. It smells the way biting into a freshly picked apple tastes and feels, and it layers well with light weight scarves, jean jackets, natural diamonds and refined gold chains. With the changing leaves and turn of seasons, September brings freshly forecasted Fall Trends. Below, our official report on how to wear what this Autumn, and it's pearly, pendanty, and perfectly Peridot. Featuring new works by Temple St. Clair, Yasuko Azuma, Rosanne Pugliese and Margery Hirschey, curated especially for those weekends upstate picking wine saps and pears, or for roaming around SoHo with the obligatory Pumpkin Spice beverage in hand.

Jewels for Jetsetting!
Are you one of the lucky ones going on spring break? Or day dreaming about your Memorial Day weekend plans? If so, don't forget to pack your jewelry! We picked out a few great options to bring with you...
This beauty is a piece by Rosanne Pugliese. Made from 22 Karat yellow gold and oxidized sterling silver, this modern link chain reads organic elegance. The cognac diamond detail also gives the necklace a refined feel. This piece is perfect for trips because it can be worn at its longest (about 34"), or wrapped around your neck twice. Give your white tee an edge with the doubled necklace during the day, and simply let it hang at its longest and add some heels to change up your look for the evening. Shop here: http://bit.ly/1EsN5xw
These sterling silver earrings are a Melissa Joy Manning classic. These guys are perfect to bring with you because they're extremely light and a fun twist on a hoop. Shop here: http://bit.ly/1PjszkH
A third option for your weekend getaway is this Anne Sportun wrap bracelet. Pictured above is our labradorite version, however, they come in several other stones including ruby, hematite, citrine, pyrite, carnelian, moonstone, spinel, turquoise, and lapis. This piece is brilliant because it can be worn as a wrap bracelet (approx. 5 times around your wrist) OR a necklace. It's safe to say this piece is a Peridot favorite. Shop here: http://bit.ly/1OfeebS
Need a safe place to store these pieces during your trip? Try our very own Peridot pouch! Available with or without middle seam. In store only.

Designer Q&A Series: Rosanne Pugliese!
This week, in honor of her trunk show on Saturday in Larchmont, we sat down with the wonderfully talented Brooklyn-based Rosanne Pugliese. We are obsessed with her subtle, light-as-a-feather jewelry, hand-made with the richest hammered gold and saturated and unique stones, which is all at once classic, modern, and luxurious. The majority of Rosanne's collection is handmade in 22k gold, in a small artisan workshop in NYC -- even the simple hoops are worked one piece at a time by hand. Rosanne uses classic, elegant proportions. But she keeps a certain earthy rawness by using gentle finishing techniques and unusual gemstones, like aquamarines that look like little chunks of the sky... or nuggets of color that are rough, assymetrical, and utterly sophisticated.
-What is your favorite piece of jewelry? I am fortunate to be able to switch what is the favorite very often! Have some amazing green tourmaline rectangular "bars" that I am working on, and a bezel set "east/west" ring is my best piece right now.

Just saw the Italian film "The Great Beauty" and can't stop thinking about it--- also a great soundtrack which is constantly playing these days. Old, longtime favorite movie is "Annie Hall."
-What are you currently reading? Just started "The Circle" by Dave Eggers. It is about notion of privacy in this online age..... quite chilling.
-Five random items on your desk:
